Upper respiratory tract infections, though very commonly encountered in primary care clinical practice, have always remained conditions without practical consensus in respect of diagnosis and management. This has resulted in antimicrobial resistance to commonly used antimicrobials. Thus, there is a need to bring in a conscious change in practice, based on evidences and guideline recommendations. Professor Mohan Kameswaran, a renowned ENT surgeon, has bridgedthis gap in this book.
